Shooting Day 03: Plaza De Toros y Casa Bolivar

By gokid December 3rd, 2009, under Shooting Days

Another early van pick-up at 6:00am that we were very slowly getting used to. Our destination that morning was really only a 15 minute walk away but no one complained about not being able to take that walk. Plaza de Toros was our first location for the day and the regular Bavaro apartment group including myself were some of the first to arrive there. Breakfast tables were quickly set up in front of the entrance of the stadium, another slightly odd sight to see.

The set-ups for this location were quick, the only problem was making sure continuity would match from the year ago when we shot Read the rest of this entry »

It’s always such a strange sight to see people eating in random spots and this was one such moment.  After a tasty quick breakfast, Daniel and Keiko and the production team quickly got to rearranging the store to fit their cinematic needs.  But, once again, a problem arose.   Read the rest of this entry »

Shooting Day 01: Cuidad Bolivar

By gokid November 19th, 2009, under Shooting Days

Our first shoot “day” began not even close to normal as we all woke up around 11:30pm on Tuesday night, thinking our van to the shoot location was arriving at midnight. As far as I knew, Miguel (1st AD) had told me as he left our apartment that the van would arrive around 1:30am. With some confusion amongst the ranks, we called Miguel at 11:30pm to confirm what I had heard and yes, we had woken up a little too early. Daniel, Jason Kirkham and Jason Gurvitz who had come to grab the van with us all went back to grab Read the rest of this entry »
